Terms of Service

1. About CalixWeb

CalixWeb is a web design and digital services business based in Tampa, Florida, operating under the laws of the State of Florida and the United States. References to "CalixWeb," "we," "our," or "us" in these Terms refer to CalixWeb and its owner(s).

2. Services Offered

CalixWeb provides the following services:

• Custom website design and development
• AI chatbot design, installation, and maintenance
• Full website audits, redesigns, and rebuilds
• Website hosting, domain management, and monthly maintenance
• On-page SEO optimization and favicon design

The scope of any project is defined in a separate project agreement or proposal confirmed via email between CalixWeb and the client.

3. Payments

Build fees

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the agreed build fee is due before work begins. The remaining 50% is due upon project completion before the website is transferred or goes live.

Monthly fees

Monthly hosting, maintenance, and/or chatbot fees are billed on a recurring basis via Stripe. Payments are due on the same date each month. Failure to pay within 7 days of the due date may result in suspension of hosting or services.

Stripe payments

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. CalixWeb does not store, see, or have access to your full card details. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service at stripe.com/legal.

4. Project Process & Timelines

• Project timelines are estimates and depend on timely client feedback and content delivery
• Delays caused by the client (late content, unresponsiveness) are not CalixWeb's responsibility
• CalixWeb will communicate delays proactively if they occur on our end
• Revisions included in your package are specified in your project proposal — additional revisions may be billed separately

5. Client Responsibilities

To complete your project, you agree to:

• Provide all required content (text, images, logos) within an agreed timeframe
• Provide timely feedback during the design and revision process
• Ensure all content you provide is either owned by you or properly licensed for commercial use
• Not use CalixWeb's services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose

6. Intellectual Property

Your content

All text, images, logos, and other materials you provide remain your property. You grant CalixWeb a license to use them solely for the purpose of completing your project.

Finished website

Upon receipt of final payment, ownership of the finished website design is transferred to you. CalixWeb retains the right to display the completed work in its portfolio and marketing materials.

CalixWeb tools and code

Any proprietary frameworks, templates, or tools developed by CalixWeb and used in your project remain the intellectual property of CalixWeb. You receive a license to use them as part of your website but may not resell or redistribute them.

7. Hosting & Maintenance

• CalixWeb provides hosting on reliable cloud infrastructure with SSL certificates included
• We aim for maximum uptime but do not guarantee 100% availability — scheduled maintenance, server issues, or third-party outages may occasionally affect your site
• Monthly maintenance includes minor content updates, security patches, and plugin/software updates where applicable
• Major redesigns or new features are not included in monthly maintenance and will be quoted separately

8. Cancellation & Refunds

Monthly services

You may cancel monthly hosting or maintenance at any time with 30 days written notice via email. No refunds are issued for the current billing period. After cancellation, your hosting will remain active until the end of the paid period.

Build projects

The initial 50% deposit is non-refundable as it covers initial design work and project setup. If a project is cancelled after work has begun, any work completed may be billed at our standard hourly rate, deducted from any remaining balance.

Satisfaction guarantee

We stand by our work. If you are not satisfied with the final result, we will work with you to make revisions within the scope of the original project. Our goal is for every client to be genuinely happy with their website.

9. Limitation of Liability

CalixWeb's total liability to you for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim. CalixWeb is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue or business opportunities.

10. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary business information shared during the project. CalixWeb will not share your business information, pricing, or project details with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of CalixWeb's services will be resolved in the courts of Hillsborough County, Florida.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
